Competitiveness

Lesson # 4: Winning a construction contract is seldom proof of a higher competitiveness.

As long as there is something called budget overrun and as long as there is something called budget risk, it is utterly wrong to claim superiority after winning a contract. It is very confusing to the ignorant bystander and is sending wrong signals in all directions. Apparently this type of message is meant for the stock market. However, it is also telling the organisation and indeed to the whole community, to relax; We are in good shape, we are on top of the situation. Without any doubt this type of message has been the beginning to the end for numerous organisations.
